Abstract in English:
This thesis documents the evaluation of several transparency techniques in aspects of quality and performance.
Depth sorted alpha blending and the order-independent transparency techniques additive blending, multiplicative blending, unsorted alpha blending and depth peeling are examined.
The theoretical concepts of these techniques are explained.
In this work, the transparency library osgTT is extended with additive and multiplicative blending and integrated into the visualization software FAnToM.
Many test cases are investigated for the quality comparison.
The performance benchmarks are conducted with three different scenes.
